5-MTHF L-Methylfolate (also sometimes called Levomefolate) is the active form of folate – also known as vitamin B9. It's used by the body to perform a variety of critical functions, including synthesizing DNA, repairing and methylating DNA, and serving as a cofactor in biological reactions, particularly in the nervous system.
